The short version
- No account with us is needed: your progress is saved on your device and kept safe in your own Google Play Games account or iCloud, so it follows you to a new phone.
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob; in the EU, the UK and Switzerland they are personalised only if you agree, and you can change your mind at any time.
- Purchases are paid through Apple or Google: we never see your card.
- When the game crashes, a technical report reaches us so we can fix it, without knowing who you are.
- Feedback you send from the game reaches us with no ID of you or your device.
- We do not sell your personal data.
JoltyHero (“the game”) is made and published by Asorynt S.R.L., registered office Aleea Băișoara nr. 4C, birou 1, Cluj-Napoca, Cluj County, Romania, Trade Register no. J2026060075002, CUI 55779570 (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal data described here. This policy explains what data the game uses, why, who else receives it and what you can do. It applies to the game on Android and on iPhone and iPad.
1. What the game uses, and why
Your progress and settings
- Data
- The save file (your progress, with safety copies), your settings and the game's clock.
- Why
- To play the game and keep your progress safe.
- Legal basis
- Stays on your device; not sent to us.
- Kept
- Until you delete it in the game or uninstall it.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
- Data
- Your device's advertising ID (on iPhone only if you allow tracking), IP address and the approximate location it reveals, device and app information (model, system, language, app version), the ads shown and how you interact with them.
- Why
- To show ads, limit how often you see them, count views and rewards, prevent fraud and, with your consent, personalise them.
- Legal basis
- Your consent (personalised ads, and reading or storing information on your device where the law asks for consent); our legitimate interest in funding a free game (non-personalised and limited ads).
- Kept
- Kept by Google under its own policy.
Your consent choices
- Data
- What you chose in the consent message, and when (stored on your device by Google's consent tool).
- Why
- To respect your choices and prove them.
- Legal basis
- Legal obligation.
- Kept
- Until you change them or uninstall the game.
Purchases
- Data
- What you bought, when, its price and currency, and the store's transaction ID and receipt. Never your name, card or payment details: Apple and Google handle the payment.
- Why
- To deliver and restore what you bought, and to keep our accounts.
- Legal basis
- Performance of our contract with you; legal obligation (accounting).
- Kept
- As long as Romanian accounting law requires.
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
- Data
- When the game crashes: the technical report (where in the code), device model, system version, free memory and disk, app version, and a random ID for this installation.
- Why
- To find and fix crashes.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in a game that works.
- Kept
- Up to 90 days.
Feedback you send from the game (Firebase)
- Data
- The message you write in Settings › Feedback (up to 500 characters), its kind (a rating from 0 to 5, a bug report or a suggestion), the game's version, the platform, your device model and system version, and the time. No ID of you or your device, and never your name or email unless you write them in the message.
- Why
- To read your feedback and fix bugs. The game sends at most five messages a day, to stop spam.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in improving the game; you choose to send it.
- Kept
- Up to two years.
Cloud save (Google Play Games, iCloud)
- Data
- Your saved game (your progress, the same as on your device) and, on Android, your Play Games player ID and gamer name. On Android the game signs you in to Google Play Games by itself when it starts (no password; you can decline); on iPhone and iPad the save goes to the iCloud of the Apple ID on the device.
- Why
- To keep your progress safe and bring it back on a new phone or after reinstalling.
- Legal basis
- Performance of our contract with you.
- Kept
- In your own Google or Apple account, until you delete it (in the game or there). We cannot read other players' saves.
Reminders
- Data
- Local notifications scheduled on your device (for example when a daily reward is ready).
- Why
- To remind you, if you allow notifications.
- Legal basis
- Your consent (the system's permission).
- Kept
- On your device; turn them off in your device's notification settings at any time.
Small technical requests
- Data
- Like any internet request, your IP address and the usual technical headers reach those servers. Nothing about you or your progress is sent.
- Why
- The time check: the game asks a public server (google.com, gstatic.com, apple.com or cloudflare.com) for the current time and reads only the date.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in fair time-based rewards.
- Kept
- Not kept by us; the servers' own short logs.
Emails you send us
- Data
- Your address, your message and anything you attach.
- Why
- To answer you.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in helping you; our contract with you.
- Kept
- Up to two years after our last message.
Engine data (Unity)
- Data
- Basic technical data about the device and how the game's engine runs (hardware, system, performance).
- Why
- To keep the engine working well on every device.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest.
- Kept
- Kept by Unity under its own policy.
The game has no chat, no profiles and no way to share personal information with other players. It does not use your precise location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
2. Who receives it
- Google (AdMob) shows the ads and is responsible for the data it uses for them: Google’s privacy policy, how Google uses information from apps. Through AdMob, Google may work with other certified ad partners; the consent message lists them.
- Google (Firebase) stores and processes the data above on our behalf, under its data processing terms: Firebase privacy.
- Apple and Google, through the App Store and Google Play: purchases, payments, refunds; Google Play Games, iCloud. They decide how they use that data: Apple, Google.
- Google Play and the App Store show their own rating dialog now and then; what you write there goes to the store, under its terms, not to us.
- Unity Technologies, the game's engine: Unity’s privacy policy for players.
- Cloudflare (our website, the game addresses’ email forwarding), Zoho (our email, in the EU) and Google (the support inbox), which carry our correspondence.
- Public authorities, only where the law obliges us.
We do not sell personal data, and we share it only as described here.
3. Transfers outside the EU
Google, Apple, Unity and Cloudflare may process data outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the United States. They do so under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, where they are certified, and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. Your choices
- Your ad choices. In the EU, the UK and Switzerland the game asks for your consent the first time it starts. You can change your answer at any time in Settings › Privacy › Ad privacy choices. In US states with privacy laws you can opt out of personalised ads (“sale” or “sharing” of personal information) in the same place.
- On your device. Android: Settings › Google › Ads (delete or reset the advertising ID). iPhone and iPad: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking (the game asks before tracking, and works the same if you say no).
- Reminders can be turned off in your device's notification settings.
- Your progress can be deleted at any time: Open Settings › Privacy, tap Delete progress and confirm. More on the Delete your data page.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for access to your data, its correction or deletion, a copy in a portable form, to restrict its use or to object to it (in particular to anything based on our legitimate interest), and you can withdraw a consent at any time without affecting what was done before. Write to contact@joltyhero.com or office@asorynt.com. We answer within one month. Most of the data above is tied to a random ID, not to your name; to find yours, tell us what you sent and roughly when.
You can also complain to the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro), or to the authority where you live or work.
6. If you live in the United States
Some US states (for example California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Texas) give you extra rights. In the last 12 months, through the game, identifiers (the advertising ID, an IP address), device and app information, approximate location, and your interactions with ads, purchases and the game may have been collected, for the purposes in the table above. We do not sell personal information for money, but showing personalised ads can count as “selling” or “sharing” it under these laws: you can opt out at any time in Settings › Privacy › Ad privacy choices. We do not use sensitive personal information, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights. You or someone you authorise can ask us for access, correction or deletion at contact@joltyhero.com.
7. Children
JoltyHero is made for players aged 16 and over and is not directed at children. Its ads are limited to content suitable for teenagers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
8. Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS). Your save is protected against tampering. Access to what reaches us is limited to the people who need it to run the game.
9. Changes
When the game changes what it does with data, we update this policy before that version is released and change the date at the top. Important changes are also announced in the game.
